Educational Projects
Site services, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, and gas have been
designed, specified and tendered for several projects.
In addition to the designs listed below, we have worked on existing schools for
various School Districts including Victoria, Saanich, Nanaimo, Cowichan Valley,
Prince George, Sooke, and Port Hardy.
Avalon has evaluated all schools within certain School Districts separately for
the following:
- potential BC Hydro Electric Plus upgrades,
- potential Power Smart lighting upgrades,
- recommended indoor air quality upgrades.
Our Spectrum School (SD 61) energy retrofit project won the ASHRAE Region XI
(Oregon to Alaska to Manitoba) Technology Award Competition in 1990.
Full Energy Accounting services have been provided for the School District of
Greater Victoria (3 years).
